RIPPLEFFECT Choreography Intensive
Apprentice
The Distrikt of Lake Michigun
Stage Left Theatre
Chorus
This intensive will be my first time visiting Nashville and exploring all the dance community there has to offer! What excited me the most is the intense incubation process to quickly put up a new work. I couldn't be more honored and excited to be selected for this process in community with this team of apprentices and choreographers!
RIPPLEFFECT is a powerful experience for evolving Choreographers and Dancers. Our winter intensive offers the community an open environment dedicated to growth through feedback, application and practice. By challenging your comfort zone, expanding your movement vocabulary, and refining your intentionality through movement, growth in self and craft is inevitable.

A Most Lamentable Comedy and Most Ridiculous Tragedy (and also completely factual and also true).
Written by ensemble member Stephanie Murphy.
Directed by ensemble member Seth Wilson.
Shortly after the Great Fire, “Captain” George Streeter and his wife Ma are building a utopian community on a sandbar in Lake Michigan right outside the city limits of Chicago. Unfortunately, his ex-wife Minnie is tagging along to set the record straight. Combining elements of Greek tragedy, vaudeville, farce, history play, and Brechtian lehrstücke, this is the outrageous (mostly) true story of how Chicago’s most expensive neighborhood came into existence.
More information will be available soon. February and March 2025.

The Mannequin's Ball
Trap Door Theatre Swing
While balancing my opportunities wiht RIPPLEFFECT and Stage Left, I am also understudying company members Emily Nichelson and Cat Evans in The Mannequin's Ball at Trap Door! Like most gigs in this season of my life, this is my first time working with the team at Trap Door Theatre. So far the rehearsal room has been an enriching environment where I'm learning a lot about my own actor's process in swing understudying.
Directed by ensemble member Miguel Long and managing director Nicole Wiesner
Written by Bruno Jasienski
Translated by Daniel Gerould
On the one night a year when the mannequins gather for a ball, one mannequin stumbles into the wrong place and is forced to impersonate an important political figure. The Mannequins’ Ball joins the absurdity of modern politics with the avant garde interest in human mechanization that characterized the experimental theatre of the inter-war years. Managing Director Nicole Wiesner and Resident Choreographer Miguel Long team up once more to tackle this ambitious and timely production.
Performance Dates:
January 23rd-March 1st
